**POSTPONED until 25TH SEPTEMBER 2021**
Firstly, we’d like to thank you all for your patience whilst we’ve been working out what the delay in the so-called “freedom day” means for us.
Following last Monday’s government announcement regarding the extension of Covid restrictions into July, PandaFest 2021 will now be postponed until Saturday, 25th September. All tickets remain valid.
Like many of our brothers and sisters in the live events industry we are angered at the lack of guidance, leadership and support from the government. We eagerly await the release of research from the Event Research Programme (ERP) and from which, a publication of safety guidance on how we can safely run an event this summer.
Without this guidance, we cannot be certain that there
won’t be additional measures remaining in place for large capacity events I.E lateral flow tests, track and trace protocol, vaccine certifications. We will, of course, need to make preparations for this scenario. Therefore, we have made the decision to move the event to September.
We are only little and therefore highly adaptable. We will continue to liaise with Cornwall Council, the relevant authorities, as well as our own advisers and remain confident that we can bring you a safe and secure event this year.
Holding onto your tickets for now will go a long way in helping us during this difficult time, ensuring the longevity of your local festival.
We, of course understand that not everybody will be able to make the rearranged date, in this situation you are entitled to a refund of the face value of your ticket. You’ll just need to make a refund request via the Eventbrite ticketing website. All refund requests must be sent by 00:00 on 10/07/21, any submitted after this date will not be processed, unless of course the event is again postponed due to Covid-19 restrictions. In this scenario all tickets will roll over to PandaFest 2022.
"A GREAT GRASS-ROOTS FESTIVAL. PLANNED DOWN TO THE FINEST DETAIL"
Why PandaFest? Well, here in Lanivet we're proud of our roots. Any local will tell you that our village is famous for growing bamboo for the pandas at London Zoo.
The local pub and even the football team are named after the pandas!
Not only is the name a nod to our heritage, its a reflection of our commitment to showcase grass roots talent. To provide a platform for local talent to grow - just like bamboo.
"PandaFest is a new music festival set in the heart of the Cornish countryside. A celebration of community. Showcasing food, drink and the very best music Cornwall has to offer"
